Stamped Concrete Contractor in Milford, New Hampshire

Overview

Throughout New Hampshire, concrete stamping is becoming a popular finishing technique for patios, walkways—even interior floors. And for good reasons. Stamped concrete provides a durable finish as well as virtually endless customization opportunities. Beyond the aesthetic appeal, concrete is not susceptible to the same heaving and leveling issues as pavers, and requires far less maintenance than wooden decks. Many times the cost of stamped concrete is much lower than other materials.

How it works

After pouring, concrete is allowed to set until it hardens just enough to hold impressions. The impressions are made from a series of rubber stamps that allow the pattern to be repeated seamlessly. Popular patterns include cobblestone, tile, flagstone, and even wood. The finished concrete can be sealed in either a glossy or matte finish.

Many times stamping is combined with tinting or staining in order to round out the faux finish effect. Upkeep is minimal, requiring pressure washing and a coat of sealant annually.
